This policy explains what Paw & Pace stores locally and when information leaves your device.
No account or cloud sync is required for tasks, focus records, daily visit history, reminders, preferences, completion history, or downloaded companion media.
Task titles, schedules, reminders, focus records, daily visit dates and time zones, preferences, completion history, and downloaded companion media are stored on your device. Opening the app in the foreground records a visit day; visit history is not sent to an analytics service.
The current preset-first experience does not require a pet photo. New Plus plans do not include photo-based AI companion creation. Existing legacy creation records retain recovery and deletion support. If a supported legacy creation is started, Paw & Pace sends the selected pet photo to its creation service and a validated, metadata-free copy to WaveSpeedAI only after explicit agreement. Paw & Pace does not use the photo for advertising or cross-app tracking.
The Paw & Pace service starts deleting its source-photo copy after WaveSpeedAI accepts the task and retries if cleanup is temporarily unavailable. It requests cleanup after a terminal failure or cancellation. Once a complete animation pair is installed, the app asks the service to delete its task, intermediate image, and published animation copies. WaveSpeedAI states that uploaded and generated media may be retained for up to 7 days. Companion cleanup records and deletion markers have a configured retention period, separate from subscription verification records. Cleanup may be retried when a provider is unavailable.
Companion-creation requests are received through Paw & Pace services hosted in the United States. Paw & Pace uses private Supabase storage while a creation task is active and uses WaveSpeedAI to generate images and animations. Paw & Pace does not sell pet photos or generated companions.
Reminders are scheduled by your operating system on that device. Focus state is used to display and restore the timer. Paw & Pace opens the system share sheet only after you choose to share.
You can delete completion details or all local Paw & Pace data from Settings. If a companion creation is active or not yet installed, use Your companion to cancel creation or delete creation data first.
Paw & Pace Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription sold and managed by Apple. The app sends a signed StoreKit transaction and a pseudonymous installation credential to verify subscription access, restore eligible access, and prevent duplicate use. Subscription verification and reconciliation records are stored separately from companion cleanup records and are not automatically deleted by deleting local app data. Contact support for service-data deletion requests. Retained legacy creation records may include a separate allowance ledger. Apple processes payment information; Paw & Pace does not receive your full payment-card information. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.
